Sept 1 is Johann Pacheibel's birthday so in his honor the local classical radio station is playing a different version of his Canon in D major (Kanon und Gigue in D-Dur für drei Violinen und Basso Continuo ) every hour. (Has anyone ever heard the gigue?)
I'm declaring national "sanity and good taste in music day" and suggest you turn your radio off for the day.

If you're patient, you can hear the gigue (the gigue is undistinguished and can be heard about 5:15 into the recording). Youtube provides many other versions.
